Now that we're officially less than a month away from Christmas, Santa's visit to Orleans Saturday evening is a little more timely.
The 19th annual Santa Parade of Lights is happening in Orleans this evening.
Chairman of the parade Bob Rainboth says Ottawa Firefighters will be collecting donations along the route.
"We don't ask anything of the public directly, however, if they are in the position to help those less fortunate, we do collect new unwrapped toys and cash along the route which we use to actually buy more toys for those less fortunate, so that all the children within the city of Ottawa have the opportunity to have a bright Christmas morning."
The parade will get underway tonight at 6pm with roughly 120,000 people expected to attend.
The parade will start at Youville Drive, following St-Joseph Boulevard, to Prestone Drive in the east end.
