The Société de Transport de l'Outaouais has announced they've reached an agreement with the union representing drivers and mechanics on an arbitration framework to resolve the ongoing labour dispute.
Pressure tactics, including weekly, rotating strikes, will cease.
Drivers will also stop wearing their yellow t-shirts.
STO drivers and mechanics have walked off the job three times this month, since giving their strike notice. Employees have been without a contract for two years, and had promised weekly rotating strikes if their demand to go to an arbitrator was not met.
The STO says the company and the union are committed to continuing discussions in order to reach a negotiated settlement.
