Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has shuffled his cabinet, one seeing two ministers leaving politics and three newcomers being named to the inner circle.
Stephane Dion is leaving Foreign Affairs, and will reportedly become Canada's ambassador to the European Union and Germany.
He's being replaced by Chrystia Freeland, minister of International Trade.
Immigration Minister John McCallum will reportedly be named Canada's ambassador to China.
His job will be taken over by Ahmed Hussen, a Toronto-area MP and a new arrival in the cabinet.
He is also the first Somali-Canadian to be named a cabinet minister.
Maryam Monsef will move from Democratic Institutions to Status of Women -- she had to apologize last month after telling MPs on a special committee on electoral reform that they weren't working as hard as they should.
Her position will be taken over by Burlington-area MP Karina Gould, also a new member to the cabinet.
Other changes see rookie MP Francois-Phillippe Champagne take over International Trade, and Patty Hadju shift from Status of Women to Employment and Labour.
Hadju replaces MaryAnn Mihychuk, who is being dropped from cabinet altogether.
Hadju came under fire recently for spending more than one-million dollars to move and renovate her ministerial office, almost three times the price of expanding and renovating space in the building in which the Status of Women's office was already located.
The new cabinet will gather for a retreat in Calgary on January 23rd and 24th.
