Seven people - three from Ottawa, two from Montreal and two from Laval - are facing charges after police say two employees were pepper sprayed during an armed robbery at a store in the east end.
Police say two suspects entered a business on the 500 block of Montreal Road at about 6:50 last night.
They say one was armed with a knife while the other was carrying the spray, which was then discharged.
The employees were bound up as the suspects made off with several cell phones.
Officers tracked down what they say was a getaway vehicle not long after and the items were recovered.
The two people who were pepper sprayed were treated by paramedics.
