Ottawa Fire crews were out in the cold early Monday morning battling a fire in a barn.
The call about the fire came in at around 5:00 a.m. Monday.
When crews arrived, the barn was fully engulfed in flames.
It took several hours but firefighters were able to get the flames under control by around 8:00 a.m., but a loss stop wasn't declared until after 12:30 p.m.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury after slipping on some ice, but did not require a trip to the hospital.
However, three sheep, three lambs, two goats, one miniature pony and one cat died in the blaze.
The cause is under investigation.
