Some residents in Vanier are on edge over a proposal to build six residential towers at the southwest corner of Montreal Road and the Vanier Parkway.
The towers at the busy intersection would range from six to 18 storeys, containing high hundreds of apartments and townhouse units.
The head of the Vanier Community Association, Chris Penton, says this development would put a huge strain on the corner.
"Concerns are traffic, concerns are density, concerns are that it's all rental units and not geared toward families," says Penton.
Ward councillor Mathieu Fleury says he's also concerned about the proposed development.
"The people that turn on and off the Vanier Parkway create a lot of stop, start, turn, merge issues," says Fleury.
Fleury is encouraging residents to have their say when the matter lands at planning committee on Tuesday.
